Mayor Pam Bryant, accompanied by the Mayoress Councillor Mrs Louise Clubley, visited Vannes on 15th August 2019 to witness the annual Fêtes d’Arvor, a celebration of Breton culture.
The festival includes processions, music, exhibitions, dancing, much in Breton costume. The high point is the election of la reine d’Arvor (the Queen of Arvor) and her dauphins, followed by a huge firework display on the ramparts of Vannes.
