Some 28 members and friends of the Association met chez John Robertson on 13 August 2019 for a light supper of French cheeses, paté, and wines.
Some enjoyed a game of croquet on the lawn, whilst others were loyal to petanque.
There was much conversation – about the sailors’ and the civic visits in June, and other private vists to France over the summer.
After supper, we were entertained by Bill Harris who spoke with passion and humor of his experiences as an engineer on the construction of the Channel Tunnel.
The evening concluded with raffle in support of the Association.
Thank you : John, for accomodating us; Bill, for entaining us; all, for amply feeding us; and Katrina, for organising us.
