A party from the Vannes Mairie visited Fareham in September 2016 to participate in the 50th Anniversary celebrations of FVTA. There was a simultaneous visit by a non-official party of Vannes citizens. This was the programme of the visit.
Fareham Borough Council issued a press release marking the unveiling of the 50th Anniversary Sculpture.
The main event took place on September 12th: the unveiling of the Twinning Sculpture in the garden of Westbury Manor in West Street. Sailors from HMS Collingwood conducted a Freedom Parade from Council Offices through High St. and West St., led by the Band of The Royal Marines.
Here are some photographic memories of the visit.
And, finally, the article recording the event, in the town magazine, Fareham Today.
